Did you know November is Healthy Skin Month?
In honor of Healthy Skin Month, let’s have a look here at how your child’s skin makes Vitamin D, an important vitamin for healthy bones and teeth, from the sun, as well as other sources.
Fortunately, in our warm and mild climate, kids can often get enough vitamin D just from being outdoors during daily activities!
Vitamin D also plays an important role in immune system function, so getting outside and getting a moderate amount of sunshine will help us all stay healthy as we head into the winter months.
