Middle School Student Council Presents...
Movie Under the Stars
Friday the 31st of March will mark student council's latest creative event, a theater-style movie at ISD. Taking place outside on cushioned seating, students are encouraged to get cozy by bringing pillows, sleeping bags, or even wearing pajamas. Student council will be selling popcorn and soda at the feature, with all proceeds going back into our ISD community or a worthy local cause nearby.
The film (Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children) will last from 6:30 - 9:00pm. Entry to the event is 1,000 CFA.
Parent Teacher Conferences on April 7. Conferences will be held on the first and second floors of the secondary building. The conferences will last from 1-4. Students are most welcome and even encouraged to attend the conferences with their parents. It is sometimes very beneficial if both parents and students hear the same words and make the same commitments in the presence of the teachers. I look forward to chatting with many of you.
Secondary Progress reports available electronically at 3:30PM on April 6 in Focus. If you need help accessing Focus, please contact John Wishart, Tech Director firstname.lastname@example.org.
IB Diploma Visual Arts Students Exhibition
This is one of the annual highlights of our IB Diploma program. The students pursuing Visual Art at High or Standard level in the IBDP exhibit their culminating works this weekend. Please try and stop by on Monday or Tuesday after school. Not only will you see lovely works of art, you will also have an opportunity to leaf through the students' process journals which quite beautifully document their progress through the two year art curriculum. It would be great if you speak to the students to gain an understanding of their motivations for their art work.
