Library News: Three Visiting Authors in November!

There are three authors coming to visit ISD in the month of November.

1. Ayesha Harruna Attah

Ayesha Harruna Attah is the author of three books, and her most recent book is The Hundred Wells of Salaga. She is a Ghanaian author who resides here in Dakar. Click here to listen to her promotion of her book.

Please feel welcome to attend Attah’s reading from Hundred Wells of Salaga, answer questions, and sign books.

Date: Tuesday, 6 November

Time: 6-8pm.

Place: ISD Library

Babysitting is provided.

Snacks, tea, and coffee will be served.


2. E. B. Lewis

E. B. Lewis is an illustrator of picture books. The ISD library has several of his books, and to date, the students are falling in love with his works.

Mr. Lewis will be on campus Monday, 12 Nov. - Friday 16 Nov., 2018.

Please feel welcome to attend:

1. The opening ceremony on Monday, 12 Nov at 8:30am. Come to the high school amphitheatre.

2. The author breakfast on Wednesday, 14 Nov at 7:45am-8:30am. He’ll sign books. Come to the library.


3. Boubacar Boris Diop

Boubacar Boris Diop is a Senegalese writer whose works have been translated into English from Wolof and French. We have several of his books in the library, both paperback versions as well as kindles you can check out.
