Do a quick search on Amazon for the book and click on the “Look Inside” tool. There you will find a brief two page essay, “The Dead of September 11”. Poetry, really, with all the magic that Morrison has to shape words that will inspire your sense of justice and simultaneously wrench the heart from your cavity. Morrison’s capacity for words leaves me wordless. After you email me your name and email or contact details, I will create a google doc and we can pick an essay (or essays) that we want to guide in brunch conversation. Don’t feel pressured to be overly academic. Let’s get together and simply love Morrison’s work.
