JAG ARTS & Winter Concert 2020

A midyear display of ISD student artwork in visual art, music, theater, and film


VISUAL ARTS, Mr. John DENHARTIGH

In MYP Visual Arts, students have developed their drawing skills, experimented with two types of printmaking, developed their painting skills and created works using Google Sketchup.


The year 1 DP students have learned the process of using stencils to create large self-portraits, created reduction relief prints, learned some basic painting techniques and created texture themed ceramic work.


The year 2 DP students have been building their collections of work for their final exhibition, and are excited to share a piece that they have completed at Jag Arts.


VISUAL ARTS, Ms. Janna RILEY

In MYP Visual Arts students have explored pencil, charcoal, watercolor, printmaking acrylic, cardboard and ceramics. Come out and see some of their creations!


MUSIC, Mr. Clay TAN

The MYP Music classes will perform some of the pieces we've been working on this past semester. We've been focusing on musical form, intonation, and performance technique.


THEATER, Mr. Brian HIGGINSON

Grade 7 will perform a short Mummers Play; Grade 8 will perform short masked stories;

Grade 9 have a display based on their studies of Othello; Grade 10 will perform a devised piece on the theme of Forced Marriage.


FILM, Mr. Keith BAILEY

DP Film students have produced short film exercises in cinematography, sound design, and editing in order to understand filming techniques.

MYP Film students have created film sequences exploring Movie Magic, Sound Design and Public Service Announcements.
