Dear ISD Community,
Did you know October 15th is Global Handwashing Day? Are we expert hand washers yet? I bet we are!
Let’s review the basics again:
Proper handwashing requires soap and running water. Follow these steps:
Cover wet hands with soap,
Scrub all surfaces, including palms, back of the hands, between the fingers, and under the fingernails, for about 20 seconds,
Rinse well with running water, and
Dry with a paper towel or other clean cloth.
An easy way to gauge 20 seconds is to use a familiar song that lasts for 20 seconds. Singing the “Happy Birthday” song, or another song of similar length, takes about 10 seconds, so try singing it twice while you wash your hands.
Have a look at when and why to wash your hands here:
Let’s have a great week!
Cheers to your Health,
