Elementary News: Grade 5 French Class Field Trip

By: Djamila Idir

On Wednesday, April 3, thirty-one 5th grade students met the crew and visited the sail boat Fleur de Passion whose objective is to measure the human impact on the oceans and raise awareness on sustainable development. The Fleur de Passion’s project is part of the Ocean Mapping Expedition, a journey around the world following the footsteps of Ferdinand Magellan almost 500 years ago. The aim of the visit was for our students to have a better understanding of human impact on the oceans and the role of the oceans in the current global warming process.
