ISD Board of Trustees Election

At last night's meeting, the Board extended the deadline for parents who are interested in running for election for a position on the ISD Board of Trustees.  The deadline is now April 10th.

The ISD Board is comprised of nine parent volunteer Trustees. Every year the ISD Association elects Trustees to serve on the ISD Board for a two-year term. Four Trustee positions are open for election this year.

If you are interested in learning more, please watch this video in which current and past Trustees talk about their experiences serving on the Board. You can also contact the board at boardbox@isd.sn with any questions, or if you would like to make a time to meet with a current Trustee to learn more. Candidate registration is open from Friday, February 21st until Friday, April 10th, 2020.

Online Learning We have had a good start to our online learning. The teachers and students should take a break this weekend, rest, and we will start again on Monday. For the elementary students, we have created a story time link on the top of ISD ES Distance Learning page.  Different ISD administrators and staff will be sharing videos of themselves reading books. I will be reading a couple of books a day for the younger elementary students and a chapter book for the older elementary students. Email me if you have any trouble accessing the videos. Update Frequency Hopefully, our world will remain somewhat stable moving forward.  I will transition from daily updates to updates twice a week. Additionally, we will restart the Jag Journal, which will focus on the work our students and teachers are doing online, as well as news from the ISD community. I wish everyone a great weekend. As always, I am available for any questions or concerns you may have. Feel to reach out to me at alank@faculty.isd.sn. Sincerely, Dr. Alan Knobloch Director, ISD
