I am writing to inform you that an ISD employee in Dakar has tested positive for Covid-19. At this time, the employee is in good health. As the employee was on campus last week, we have been advised to close the campus. Except for the guards, no staff will be allowed on campus.
This could potentially impact the online teaching of some of our teachers in Dakar. While all teachers in Dakar have fiber optic lines, they have had issues with the internet speed from home due to the internet service provider being overwhelmed with too many users online. These teachers had been working from campus periodically. Individual teachers will be in touch with the parents and the students if their internet speed is impacting their online program.
We will be making arrangements for the deep cleaning of the campus.
