Welcome to the 36th year of the International School of Dakar! We are preparing to welcome over 700 students, a record enrollment, to campus this year, including 250 new students. The campus is in excellent condition. We have several significant events this week to start the school year.

Upcoming Events

Thursday, August 15 – First Day of School

Parent Opening Ceremony – 8:45 to 9:30 am - Big Tent on the Field

All parents are invited to the annual Opening Ceremony. Thiaba Camara Sy, the Chair of the Board of Trustees, will welcome the parents to the new school year.

Director Alan Knobloch will present an update on the status of ISD including the significant accomplishments from last year, academic goals for this year, and updates on the major construction projects. The Opening Ceremony is an ISD tradition and is a special event where new and returning ISD parents can make connections.

Parking around campus on this day will be difficult. Parents are encouraged to park along the Corniche and walk to school. We will have additional security on the Corniche.
