Director Search Update
The Search Committee, comprised of four ISD Trustees, has selected four finalists for the ISD Director position for which there was significant interest. ISD contracted with an outside executive search company, RG 175, to help with the search. The consultants presented the Search Committee with a list of short-listed candidates. After a review of the candidates’ applications and reference checks, the Committee then selected seven candidates to interview. Four finalists were selected after the interviews in what was a very competitive process.
The four candidates will meet virtually with students, parents, teachers, staff members, administrators, and Board members over a two-day period. The interviews will take place from May 25 to 27 and from May 31 to June 2. Parents will receive a biographical summary of each candidate 24 hours before the candidate’s visit. Parents will also be invited to a virtual group session via Zoom for each candidate. The exact days and times of the parent sessions will be shared later this week. The sessions will also be recorded for those who cannot attend the live session. Afterward, parents will be invited to share their feedback about the candidates. The Board members will review the feedback from each of the stakeholder groups.
Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to participate in the live sessions or view the recorded interviews.
Last Call for Election
The Board election will close tomorrow, May 18th, at 3:00 pm. Thank you to everyone who has voted. If you have not done so, please take a few minutes to review the Board member candidate’s summaries and vote using the ballot that was emailed to you by ElectionBuddy. Results of the election will be announced on Tuesday night.
