Families and staff who are traveling over the break are not required to quarantine from campus for 14 days after returning. This is consistent with the health and safety guidelines of the Senegalese government which does not require a quarantine period provided you enter the country with a negative Covid-19 test. We opened school in September under the same conditions and did not see any transmission on campus.
The number of cases has significantly increased in Senegal over the past month. The number of positive cases is now similar to what we saw in Senegal in August and September. We will continue to monitor the situation daily in Senegal and adjust our plans as needed. Our plan is to return to campus at our current Phase Three on January 6.
For those who are staying in Senegal, for those who are traveling, do stay safe. We look forward to seeing everyone in January.
