I’d like to be the first to welcome all of you and your students to the 2021-2022 school year. While the past sixteen months have been challenging, we remain optimistic about the coming year and the many opportunities awaiting our students.
As we move through the school year, decisions on health and safety guidelines will be made based on several factors including but not limited to directives from the Government of Senegal including the Ministry of Education, and recommendations from international health organizations including WHO, CDC, AAP. We will also work with the ISD Health and Safety Committee and continue to monitor active cases within Senegal as well as vaccination rates among the ISD community.
One of the greatest characteristics of the ISD community is our ability to come together. ISD is a place where staff and families work collaboratively to ensure that the children entrusted into our care grow to be productive, confident, and compassionate members of a global society. I look forward to an amazing year!
I invite you to join me for another Parent Town Hall this Thursday, August 19th at 5:00pm via Zoom. Details can be found in your email from ISD Communications.
