
Dear Parents, Nothing significant to report today in the ISD Community, so I wanted to share some local resources and some good news in the world as well as an update of the current situation in Senegal. Cases in Senegal This afternoon Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action announced that there were two new cases of Coronavirus, both imported cases. Also, three prior cases were released from the hospital. In total, Senegal has had 38 cases. Five have recovered. Information Resources For non-French speakers, Seneweb is a good resource for quick news. The website is in French. However, if you use the browser Chrome to access the website it can auto-translate it to English if you wish. The Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action publishes a daily press release. You can find them here. The press release gives information on the current cases of Coronavirus. As of today, there were 36 cases with two people having recovered. Good News Below is a list of good news regarding Coronavirus that was shared on one of the security groups in which I below. I fact-checked a number of them and they had been reported in the press. How about some good news? China has closed down its last coronavirus hospital. Not enough new cases to support them. Doctors in India have been successful in treating Coronavirus. Combination of drugs used: Lopinavir, Retonovir, Oseltamivir along with Chlorphenamine. They are going to suggest same medicine, globally.
