Coronavirus Update - March 14th, 2020

Today, President Macky Sall announced that all schools in Senegal will be closed for three weeks, starting on Monday, March 16. ISD will now move to online learning to ensure students are continuing to make academic progress. Our teaching staff have been participating in training on how to deliver instruction online and are well prepared for this eventuality. Online learning will begin on Wednesday, March 25. In order to ensure that this transition is as successful as possible, the teachers will use March 23 and March 24 to continue their training and to prepare their virtual lessons. We will continue to communicate with the community prior to the official launch of online learning on March 25. At this point, campus will remain open during Spring Break for ISD families for recreational use. This may change as we learn more about the government's guidelines with regard to school closures. Campus will be closed for all activities organized by outside groups.
