Board News, April 9, 2018

Greetings from the ISD Board of Trustees.

April is a busy month for the Board. All parents and faculty will have received your invitation to vote in this year's elections for trustees.  We have 4 vacancies on the board this year and 8 excellent candidates.  Please do take time to read the candidates' statements and cast your vote so that our Board will reflect the needs of the full ISD community.  Voting stays open until 19 April 2018.

Please also mark your calendar for 5.30 pm (refreshments served from 5.00 pm) on Thursday 19 April for our Annual General Meeting.  This is always a fun and informative evening.  The Board, Director, Principals and Parent Teacher Organisation will present on the school's progress this year.  You'll hear about the university acceptances for our Grade 12 students, the results of the recent parent and student surveys and an update on the construction of the Performing Arts Center and Athletics Complex.  You will also help us celebrate the landmark years of service of our staff - all of this with a canapé in one hand and a glass of wine in the other!  The AGM will be held immediately before the High School musical Godspell, so if you have tickets to that event, I do encourage you to arrive at 5.30 to participate in the AGM as well.

The Board will also hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday 12 April at 6.00 pm (refreshments served from 5.30 pm) in the Conference Room.  All parents and faculty are invited to attend as observers.  This month's agenda is as follows:
